How are we coping with Coronavirus?
Following information released from the Government, our aim now is to return back to 'normal'. Children are mixing, attending whole school collective worship and working in groups in the classroom. There are still high levels of hygiene in the school (as outlined in our risk assessment below) and parents have been asked to test themselves and their child if they present with symptoms. The same applies to our staff.
In the case of an epidemic we shall return to the policies and procedures outlined in our risk assessment.
Throughout this uncertain time, the one thing that you can be assured of is that our school will still put the needs of your child first. Our aim is to maintain the vision and the values of our school through these difficult times. All policies and procedures remain in place, including our child protection policy. Our teachers are in daily contact with our parents and for the next few months our aim is to support all our families as much as we can thorough these difficult times.
Teachers are providing a range of high quality remote learning opportunities to ensure children and their families feel supported during this difficult time. Every child should receive daily work from their teacher which will cover the curriculum that would have been taught ordinarily. All subjects will be covered in a variety of ways including practical outdoor activities, teacher videos or more traditional methods. There are virtual sessions where parents and children can 'drop-in' and talk to their teacher and small differentiated teaching sessions either on eschool groupings or virtually. For more information see below.
