Free School Meals and Pupil Premium?
Across the country all Foundation, Year 1 and 2 pupils are entitled to universal free school meals. This has been provided by Government funding and is irrespective of a families ability to pay.
Families on restricted budgets are entitled to a free school meal beyond Year 2 and has a strict criteria. This is referred to as Pupil Premium. These children get additional funds in a school's budget that can be used to support the education of this child.
