Mrs Calvert's Weekly Message

Dear Parents,

It was lovely to see all the Year 3 children back at school last week. Thank you for all the contributions to our recycling fundraiser ‘Happy Bags’, we raised £117.

As you are aware, we will be entering Covid Tier 2 Regulations on Wednesday. This means that we are still on high alert and households are not allowed to meet indoors apart from support bubbles. Sticking to these rules will really help our school get through to Christmas with no other outbreaks.

Below are two links to more information on protecting the vulnerable in these new tiers and what will happen with the Christmas bubbles.

Our plans for Christmas will be just as much fun as usual. There is a virtual pantomime and the magical elf is visiting across our screens with a special present. We have a Christingle service in each class and lots of other activities during the last two weeks of December planned in each classroom. Please check the calendar on the website for dates.

We are all sharing a Christmas Party Meal on Friday 11th December as usual. It is one of the events we always like everyone to participate in but if you have any concerns ring the office for clarification. This meal will involve a 'happy meal' with sandwiches, flaky pinwheel, crudities, pom bears, pizza squares, ice cream fruit and a biscuit. There will also be a party bag with a range of Christmas goodies. Everyone deserves a treat!

On this day everyone can come into school in a Christmas Jumper. This meal and the gifts have been subsidised by the school.

Revd Ainsley has a series of assemblies on Advent accessed through the link below.

Please remember our fundraising sites - Easyfundraising and Amazon Smile. Please do use these sites when you are buying Christmas presents and food.

All parents need to be aware that if we sent an emergency text message through eschools if you have downloaded the eschools app, the message will be sent to the app. If you don't download the app then the message will go straight to your phone. If you use the app regularly then this should not be a problem, but if you don't use the app regularly, it is probably better to delete the app and have the messages sent to your phone.

Kind regards

Susan Calvert
