Last week, we started talking about pupil's wellbeing through our 'Mental Health Week' where the theme was 'express yourself'. Below is a message from the Duchess of Cambridge about this initiative.   https://www.childrensmentalhealthweek.org.uk/news/the-duchess-of-cambridge-sends-message-to-mark-children-s-mental-health-week/

There are lots of things which contribute towards good mental health. Probably the most important is talking about our feelings. More information can be found on our website at https://braywood-ce.eschools.co.uk/web/mental_health/542307

There are many ways children can express themselves through creative mediums. An example of this is the Young Artist Show organised by the Royal Academy.

Another outlet can be to sing. Berkshire Maestros has lots of online resources.  https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLbLgprABKn84JJVuQSYIFELPasTwK1mw9

To keep us all fit and healthy, we are outlining an initiative organised by Berkshire Schools called 'Stay Fit'. Paula Ratcliffe is challenging children to join her through half term for over two hours of fitness challenges. To take part (and receive a certificate from Paula) will need to register at the link below. You will have to let the school know if you complete the challenge.

The team at CBBC have also made an exciting revamp to the CBBC YouTube Channel which provides entertainment through lockdown. They are uploading videos including factual shows, news, dramas, comedy etc. If you think your children would be interested in this, please subscribe free to www.youtube.com/cbbc

There is no expectation for children to do any work over half term. These are just ideas.   There are two leaflets attached outlining support for families during lockdown and information about Talking Therapies (a free service provided by the NHS). If this is appropriate, there is financial support available via the Government's  Covid Winter Grant

My staff and I would like to wish you all a lovely half term.

Stay safe
