Dear Parents,
Please find enclosed the latest guidance from the Government regarding Lockdown and a document from the LEA about travelling to school. Most of our pick-up and drop off collections are working well but please do remember to social distance when you are waiting for your child for everyone's safety.
To commemorate Armistice Day, the Year 4 children are conducting a service alongside Linda Jones - the lady who normally conducts the service. Over the next few days poppies and wrist band will be available at the end of the school day. Poppies are 20p and wrist bands are 50p. There will be a honesty box available. There is limited stock, but you are always able to purchase other merchandise on the British Legion website.
Similarly, if you want to support 'Children in Need' there is lots of information on their website. At school we are participating in their Duck Derby on Friday. Each class will be allocated 4 ducks and we will be celebrating the winning duck holders. The school has donated £25 for this privilege.
The photographs that were going to be taken on the 18th November have now been cancelled. We will reschedule for the spring.
As promised the Year 1 and Foundation parents will be having their conversations with their child's teacher on the following:
Foundation - Tuesday 24th November from 8.30am to 3.00pm
Year 1 - Wednesday 25th November from 8.30am to 3.30pm
Parents will be allocated a ten-minute slot through the eschools platform. The booking window for Foundation will open at 6.00pm on the 19th November and close 6.00pm on the 23rd November. The booking window for Year 1 will open 6.00pm on the 20th November and close 6.00pm on the 24th November. Our new parents will see a tab on your eschools platform and there is a video explaining how you can book your appointment. Do call if you have any problems.
Kind regards
Susan Calvert
