Mrs Calvert's Weekly Message

Dear Parents,

Welcome back to school!

We are asking if any parents have an iphone X (the larger version) for the school to use we would be very grateful.

Although we will be in a new national lockdown from Thursday, there will not be a lot of change at school. If you are interested there is more information on the Government's website. Everything went smoothly this morning with our 'wake up' groups. Thank you to all of our parents who were prompt.

This month we are planning to support both the British Legion and Children in Need. We do appreciate that our families do not have the same disposable income to hand so we will be restrained in our approach.

For Remembrance Day our Year 4 pupils will re-enact the Armistice Day service in the Church Yard and we will be selling remembrance poppy wrist bands for 50p and regular poppies will be on sale for 20p. BBC Radio Berkshire are wanting families to make a giant poppy mosaic to mark this year's Remembrance Day. They are inviting parents to take a photograph of themselves holding a photograph of the name of a person they are remembering whether that is someone who served/or is serving in the armed forces or a veteran they know of in their area. Photographs can be uploaded on the link below.

For Children in Need we will be participating in their annual duck derby which can be watched on Friday 13th November at 1pm. Their theme is 'Five to thrive' and it revolves around children's mental health. We will ask the children how they want to support this event.

Any questions do please contact the school.

Kind regards

Susan Calvert
