Dear Parents,
Everyone has settled well into school and as you know the 'catch-up' classes have started again on Monday, Tuesdays and Wednesdays. These will carry on for the rest of this term.
Please remember that our Braywood Extra is running as normal except for Friday's Squirrel Club which is only running until 4.30pm as we only have a few children. If this continues, we will have to close Fridays temporarily.
Monday 3rd May is a bank holiday and the school will be closed.
There is a national survey of children called the Big Ask which is the largest consultation of children between the ages of 4 - 17 years old. It aims to find out children's concerns and aspirations for the future, so that children can be at the heart of our country's recovery from this pandemic. The results will help the Children's Commissioner identify the barriers preventing children from reaching their potential, put forward solutions, and set ambitious goals for the future. Our children are used to having a say, so teachers will be working on this survey over the coming weeks.
To celebrate what would have been Captain Tom's 101st birthday, between 30th April and 3rd May the PTA will host a sponsored 100 challenge. The Captain Tom Foundation would love everyone, of all ages and abilities, to take part in the Captain Tom 100 Challenge. Everyone is invited to take on any challenge around the number 100 such as skips, writing your name or number sentences, reading for 100 minutes etc. Do visit their website, watch the campaign video if you are interested. There will be more information from the PTA over the next few weeks.
School place offers for September 2021 entry – deadline 30 April
Please respond to your child’s school place offer by no later than Friday 30 April, to let us know if you want to accept or decline the offer. If the borough do not hear from you by Friday 30 April, your offer may be withdrawn, and the place offered to another child.
